Ingredients

  • Salmon, thawed, 0.5 – 1.5 lbs.
  • 3 Tablespoons molasses
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon zest
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • **Need foil, baking pan, bowl, temperature probe

Preparation

Place salmon on foil-lined baking pan. Rub the top of the salmon with molasses, covering entire top side of the fish. Mix brown sugar, lemon zest, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Spread over the entire salmon and allow to sit for 20 minutes at room temperature.

Preheat oven to Broil (highest setting). Allow it to heat completely.

Cook it!

Place baking pan in top oven rack and broil 6 – 10 minutes, or until thickest part of the fillets reach 145° F. Remove and allow to rest, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
