There are certainly some fancier seafoods than Glazed Wild Salmon Fillets. Fresh lobster, the buttery sweetness of orange roughy, even giant scallops. But a well-prepared, perfectly cooked Salmon Fillet will make you feel spoiled, as if dining in a world class restaurant. You savor every bite but cannot wait to take the next bite. It becomes more than just eating. It becomes an experience.
With the recipe below, you can enjoy the experience without the world class price. And, with only six ingredients, it is quick and easy.
Ingredients
- Salmon, thawed, 0.5 – 1.5 lbs.

- 2 Tablespoons lemon zest
- 1-1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation
Place salmon on foil-lined baking pan. Rub the top of the salmon with molasses, covering entire top side of the fish. Mix brown sugar, lemon zest, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Spread over the entire salmon and allow to sit for 20 minutes at room temperature.
Preheat oven to Broil (highest setting). Allow it to heat completely.
Cook it!
Place baking pan in top oven rack and broil 6 – 10 minutes, or until thickest part of the fillets reach 145° F. Remove and allow to rest, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
