Nutrient-Dense Meats

The majority of food today is lacking in essential nutrients, due to many factors. Fortunately for you, we have Nutrient-Dense Meats! And, this isn’t just a marketing claim. It is backed by science. Carter Country Meats is now 3rd generation ranchers who are committed to regenerative agriculture and providing the best in the world product to consumers.

It’s not the cow, it’s the how!

Realizing years ago that what had become the “normal” way of ranching cattle for beef consumption was falling short in several areas, the Carter family set out to change the paradigm. Looking into history, they realized that the decline in quality beef started with the decline in the huge bison herds, and the change in grazing practices. In 1932 the government passed the Taylor Grazing Act, which was intended to help grasslands. Unfortunately, it had just the opposite effect. By creating low-intensity grazing practices over long time durations, the grasses, and, ultimately the soil, never had time to recover/rejuvenate.

Everyone has probably heard the saying “You Are What You Eat.” And it’s not just people. Cattle are what they eat, and then we eat the beef. When the grasses are deficient in the necessary nutrients, the cattle become deficient, and then we are deficient. It has been stated that produce like broccoli has less than half the nutrient content that it had 50 years ago. One only has to look in stores at the multiple shelves that have every kind of vitamin/multivitamin. We need to get away from corporate agriculture that was started after World War II in order to increase production at the cost of quality. The cow hasn’t changed. The how changed and not for the better.

Regenerative Nutrient Soil Practices = Success

On the prairies is a cycle of life through a cycle of nutrients. Healthier soils = healthier grasses = healthier cattle = healthier digestive organisms = healthier fertilizer (cow poo) for the soil. And the healthier cattle mean more nutrient-dense meats in our meals. Being stewards of the land, learning from history’s mistakes, and having a true desire to provide the best product to help the most people have been the goals of the Carter family. They are meeting those goals.

Nutrient-Dense Meats

They have submitted samples of their beef to the BIONUTRIENT Food Association for scientific testing and the results are stunning. Carter Country Meats are 64% more nutrient-dense than the average grass-fed beef. They are 239% more nutrient-dense than grain-fed beef. Most beef purchased at the grocery store went through a stockyard and then a feedlot before going to a processor. The cattle are grain-fed at both of those locations, and water is often added to the product at the processor. Carter Country Meats are 70% more essential amino acid dense than the average grass-fed beef. They are 84% more nonessential amino acid dense than the average grass-fed beef.

In addition, the ratio of good Omega-3 fatty acids to bad Omega-6 fatty acids is 3-1/2 times that of average grass-fed beef. All of this scientifically proven data means that Carter Country Meats are healthier for you: can improve your brain function and gut biome, improve your cardiovascular health, etc.

Taste

Another thing that science has proven is that flavor and aroma directly correlate to nutrient density. Our ancestors used taste as a guide for their food consumption. R.C. Carter states that once you try some of their beef, you will believe that you have never had real beef before, because of the flavor bursting from nutrient-dense meats. But, try it for yourself.
